Cherianne Dawn (Vibrational Alignment Art)

Most art asks you to look. Cherianne Dawn’s asks you to notice how something makes you feel. She describes herself as a psychic fine artist, and she works in what she calls vibrational art and intuitive symbology, a practice that treats a mark, a shape or a symbol as something you can respond to rather than simply admire.

She holds a B.A. (Hons) and works from a studio in Cheadle, in the Staffordshire Moorlands. At the Guildhall in September she runs a hands-on mini workshop in intuitive symbology, with all materials provided, and you do not need to be able to draw.

What intuitive symbology means

A symbol is a shorthand your mind already understands. A heart, a spiral, an anchor: each carries a feeling before you have consciously read it. Cherianne’s work builds on that. In her own practice she creates fine art through what she describes as vibrational alignments, and her pieces come with a written channelling and resonance guide, so the image and the words work together. The idea is that a symbol can act as a point of reflection, something to sit with and return to, rather than a decoration you hang and forget.

You do not have to share every part of that framework to get something from it. At its most practical, the workshop is about slowing down, paying attention to what draws you, and making a mark that means something to you specifically.

The mini workshop: your own symbol

The session at the event is designed for complete beginners. You will be guided to create a personal symbol aligned with what you want to focus on, using simple techniques, with the materials handed to you on the day. Nobody is judging the artwork. The point is the process: choosing shapes and lines that feel right, and ending up with something small and personal you can take home.

If you have ever avoided a creative session because you “can’t draw”, this is built for you. The barrier to entry is deliberately low, and the emphasis is on intuition over technique.

Beyond the workshop

Cherianne’s wider practice extends past the workshop table. She offers alignment readings that incorporate crystal attunement, and she creates energy-aligning tattoos through Firefly Tattoo Parlour in Swadlincote and Ibstock. She has also written a book, The Art of Intuitive Symbology, which sets out her approach in more depth for anyone who wants to carry the ideas home and keep going.

None of this needs a leap of faith to enjoy. Whether you take the symbology as a spiritual practice or simply as a calm, guided way to make something by hand, the workshop stands on its own.

Something to try this week

Before you come, spend two minutes on this. Think of something you want more of at the moment: calm, focus, courage, patience. Now draw a single simple shape that feels like that word to you, without planning it. It might be a closed circle, a rising line, a knot. There is no right answer, and it does not need to look like anything. Keep it somewhere you will see it, a phone lock screen or a scrap by the kettle. The act of choosing a shape for a feeling is the whole basis of Cherianne’s workshop, and doing it once at home makes the session on the day click faster.

Cherianne is one of over 70 readers, healers and stallholders at the Mind Body Spirit & Wellness Weekend, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026, at Stockport Masonic Guildhall. Her workshop, like every session across the weekend, is included with entry.
