Flow Well is a recovery studio in Stockport, just down the road from the Guildhall, and its team will be at the Mind Body Spirit & Wellness Weekend in September. The focus here is squarely physical: circulation, rest and helping the body recover, using equipment rather than the usual hands-on approach.
Flow Well is based on Wellington Road South in Stockport.
What’s actually on offer
The studio runs three main things, and they’re refreshingly concrete. Vasotherapy is a gentle session designed to encourage microcirculation and ease everyday stiffness. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or HBOT, involves breathing oxygen in a pressurised chamber. And there’s a no-touch massage that uses circulation technology while you stay fully clothed, which suits people who’d rather not be handled directly.
Who it tends to suit
People generally come to a studio like this for recovery rather than pampering. That might be after sport, during a stretch of poor sleep, or simply when the body feels run down and heavy. None of it is a medical treatment and none of it replaces one. It’s offered as a way to rest, to support the body’s own recovery and to feel a bit more mobile and settled afterwards.
What to ask at the stand
Because these therapies are more equipment-led than most things at the weekend, the stand is a good place to ask plain questions: what a vasotherapy session actually feels like, what the oxygen chamber involves, and whether any of it is or isn’t suitable if you’ve a health condition. Straightforward answers before you try something are always worth having.
Something to try before you come
You can nudge your own circulation without any kit at all. Once today, stand up, roll your shoulders back a few times, and then spend thirty seconds rising slowly onto your toes and back down, breathing steadily. It’s a tiny thing, but gentle movement and steady breath are the everyday version of what a recovery session is reaching for. Do it whenever you’ve been sat still too long.
Flow Well is one of over 70 readers, healers and stallholders at the Mind Body Spirit & Wellness Weekend, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026, at Stockport Masonic Guildhall. Its sessions, like every session across the weekend, are included with entry.
