Lisa Said (Tantric Goddess Flow)

A lot of wellbeing work happens in your head. Lisa Said’s happens in your body. She is a Thai massage practitioner and yoga teacher who runs Tantric Goddess Flow, and her focus is on movement, breath and touch as ways back into feeling at home in yourself. She will be at the Guildhall across both days in September, with workshops and one-to-one sessions.

Lisa runs her practice from North Wales, and describes Tantric Goddess Flow as a sanctuary of movement, sound, ritual and feminine wisdom. At the weekend that translates into two things you can actually book: group yoga workshops, and private Thai massage and yoga sessions.

Thai massage, and why it is different

Thai massage is not the oil-and-quiet-room kind. You stay clothed, you lie on a mat, and the practitioner uses gentle pressure, stretching and rhythmic movement to work with the whole body. People often describe it as being somewhere between a massage and being carefully moved through a series of stretches, and it tends to leave you feeling looser and more settled. At the weekend Lisa offers one-to-one Thai massage and yoga upstairs in the Davies Suite, so you can experience the bodywork properly rather than just hearing it described.

The yoga workshops

Lisa’s group sessions are themed rather than generic classes. One is a tantric yoga flow built around the ideas of fertility and abundance, the other a softer somatic yoga session about coming home to your body, co-led with another teacher. Both are accessible to move through and do not assume you already have a regular practice. Somatic yoga in particular is slow and internal, less about achieving a shape and more about noticing what you feel as you move, which makes it a gentle place to start if faster classes have put you off before.

Who it suits, and what it is not

This is embodied, feminine-centred work, and Lisa is upfront about that framing. It suits people who want to reconnect with their body, slow down, and be guided rather than pushed. It is worth being clear that the fertility and abundance themes are the spirit of the sessions, an invitation to intention and self-connection, not a medical treatment or a promise of an outcome. If you come to it as a way to feel more present in your own body, that is exactly what it is designed to offer.

Beyond the mat

Alongside the massage and yoga, Lisa’s wider practice includes crystal reiki, oracle readings and sound sessions, and she has published a guided manifestation journal, Manifest Your Dream Life. If the workshop or a Thai massage session lands well, there is a broader body of work to follow up afterwards.

Something to try this week

Somatic work starts with noticing, and you can practise that anywhere. Once a day this week, before you get out of bed or as you sit down at your desk, take thirty seconds to scan slowly from your feet to your head and simply notice where you are holding tension. Do not try to fix it. Just name it to yourself, jaw, shoulders, belly, and let your next out-breath be a little longer. That habit of checking in with the body instead of overriding it is the ground everything Lisa teaches is built on.

Lisa Said is one of over 70 readers, healers and stallholders at the Mind Body Spirit & Wellness Weekend, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026, at Stockport Masonic Guildhall. Her sessions, like every session across the weekend, are included with entry.
